Privacy Policy — Calculator Vault: Photos & App

Last updated: July 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how NextCore ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Calculator Vault: Photos & App (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.

The App is a private vault that disguises itself as a calculator, allowing you to hide and protect photos, videos, audio, documents, notes, contacts, and apps behind a passcode. All of your hidden content stays on your device. We do not upload, view, sell, or transmit your private files to our servers.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information stored only on your device

The following is created and stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

  • Photos, videos, audio files, documents, and notes you choose to move into the vault.
  • Contacts you choose to hide (including their name and number).
  • Your passcode, security question, and fake-passcode settings.
  • Intruder-selfie photos captured after failed unlock attempts.
  • The list of apps you choose to hide, and your vault preferences.

You can delete all of this at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

b. Information collected automatically

To keep the App stable and to show ads, we and our SDK partners automatically collect limited technical and usage data:

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, system language, and mobile carrier country.
  • App information: app version and build number.
  • Identifiers: an advertising identifier and, where applicable, a unique device or installation identifier.
  • Usage & diagnostic data: in-app events (such as features used and screens visited), performance data, and crash logs.

This data is used strictly for technical optimization, analytics, crash diagnostics, and advertising. It is never linked to, and never used to access, the private files you have secured in the vault.

c. Information you provide

  • Recovery email (optional): If you set up email recovery, we store your email address to help you reset access to your vault. If you contact support, we receive your email address and the content of your message to respond to you.

2. Permissions We Use and Why

We follow the principle of minimal necessary access. Each permission is used only for the stated feature.

PermissionWhy it is used
All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 11+) / Storage (Android 10 and below)Core feature. To move your selected photos, videos, audio, and documents into and out of the encrypted vault. We only access files you explicitly select to hide.
Photos, Video & Audio media access (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, READ_MEDIA_AUDIO)Fallback on newer Android versions to let you pick media to move into the vault, when full file access is not granted.
Contacts (READ_CONTACTS, WRITE_CONTACTS)To let you pick contacts to hide, and to remove a selected contact from your phone's address book when you move it into the vault. Contact data stays in the App and is not shared or transmitted.
Camera (CAMERA)To silently capture an intruder selfie after too many wrong unlock attempts, and to let you take photos directly into the vault. The camera is only used with your action or the intruder-detection trigger — never in the background.
Internet (INTERNET)To power the in-app private browser and to serve ads and analytics.
Accounts (GET_ACCOUNTS)Optional. To offer your device's Google accounts as a suggestion when you set a recovery email.
App list access (app enumeration / QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES via queries)For the "Hide Apps" feature and private home launcher, to display the list of installed apps you can select and hide.
Default Home / Launcher roleOptional. If you enable the private home launcher, the App can act as your home screen to keep hidden apps out of the standard app drawer. You can revoke this in your device settings at any time.

We do not use Accessibility Services, Usage Access, screen-overlay, device-administrator, or push-notification permissions.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide and operate the vault, hide-apps, and private-browser features.
  • Keep the App stable, diagnose crashes, and improve performance.
  • Display advertisements that support the free App.
  • Respond to your support requests and help you recover access to your vault.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party SDKs. Each collects only the data needed for its function and is governed by its own privacy policy.

ServicePurposeData collectedPrivacy policy
Google AdMobDisplay adsAdvertising identifier, device informationhttps://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)Usage analytics and crash reportingApp usage events, device information, crash logs, unique identifiershttps://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

We do not sell your personal information. Our advertising partners may process the advertising identifier to show relevant ads. You can limit this by resetting or deleting your advertising ID and opting out of ad personalization in your device settings.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your private vault content to anyone. We may disclose limited information only:

  • To the third-party SDK providers listed above, solely to provide their services.
  • To comply with a valid legal obligation, court order, or lawful government request.
  • In connection with a merger or acquisition, in which case any successor will be bound by this Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

  • Vault content and settings remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.
  • Recovery email and support correspondence are kept only as long as needed to provide recovery and support, or as required by law, and are deleted on request.
  • Analytics and advertising data are retained by our SDK partners according to their respective privacy policies.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Because your private content is stored locally and protected by your passcode, its security also depends on you keeping your passcode confidential and your device secure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to its processing or withdraw consent. Because your vault content is stored on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App. For any data held by us (such as a recovery email or support messages), contact us using the email below. We do not sell personal information; you can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.
